I made the decision to retire from work in 2025. The original domain 'TetburyFamilies' has been cancelled as has 'LynneCleaverResearchServices' but you can find the Tetbury pages on this website.

I will still be around as I don't think you can switch off completely after a life of research in one form or another! A thirst for knowledge and discovery never leaves you. From early starts back in the 1970s researching local history for my A'level art, the start of my family history in the 1980s to more local history with the history of Tetbury and now Old Cleeve it's going to carry on. Perhaps in retirement I may get the chance to travel and further my own family history.

An opportunity to begin writing books for Amberley Publishing came about in 2008 and saw my first book published in October 2009. I have since written eight more, details of which can be found here.

I was awarded the Higher Certificate in Genealogy in 2020 and the Diploma in Genealogy in 2021, both of which are courses with the IHGS.

I am a member of AGRA and chair the regional network group for the South West. I am also a member of the Society of Genealogists, Hampshire Genealogical Society and the Scudamore Family History Group.

Local Studies interests are my home village of Old Cleeve, Somerset and Tetbury, the home of my husband's ancestors for over 400 years.
